Mahavinayak Eco-tourism complex named as “Parbat Sova” which is close to Lord Shiva temple inside Mahavinayak RF within a reach of 5 km from Chandikhole Chhak towards west. The Complex having 3 Nos. of well furnished double bedded suits with attached toilet facilities is constructed on the slope of a hill covering total area 3.5 Acres inside Mahavinayak R.F. A tracking path over 5 Km is also created to the other site of hillock. It is perfect picnic spot for trekkers and religious people with it densly wooded hills and sylvan spring that flows periodically through its green glades. Ansupa Nature Camp

Ansupa Lake is the largest and one of the oldest fresh water wetland of Odisha located in Athgarh Forest Division (Banki Sub- Division). Lake is directly linked with the River Mahanadi by a channel called Kabula Nala, through which flood water of river Mahanadi enters the lake. There is another channel Huluhala Nala, which has also an opening to River Mahanadi which acts as outlet. Ansupa Lake is situated between 85-86’ Longitude East and 20-30’ Latitude North.

Water spread area varies from 375 acres to 385 acres. Average depth of water is about 8 to 10 meters at present. Catchment area is 2810 Ha, This Lake is of National importance due to its unique bio – diversity character having varied aquatic fauna and flora and is a famous natural heritage site of Odisha. It harbors large number of fishes, aquatic plants (submerged, floating and emergent types). Different types of resident and migratory birds visit the lake in winter – time, attracting large number of tourists.

A very old fort called Saranda Fort built during Keshari dynasty is situated near the lake on western side on Saranda Hills. This has some archeological significance. The hill has old remnants of stone architecture on hill top which are locally known as Armory House, Armory, House Bhai – Bohu Kua, Kansa Kabata . A hillock named Saranda hill runs along the western bank of Lake Ansupa and adds greatly to the scenic beauty of Ansupa Lake. This place has been selected for development of Eco Tourism. The beauty of meandering river Mahanadi at a distance and water body of Ansupa lake provides great landscape to the visitor from this hillock. Three number of Bamboo Cottages constructed during 2012 – 13 to provide night facility for visitors. There is a Day visitor center on the periphery of lake where pindies for day visitors and boating facilities are also available. The Members of Eco Tourism Group (ETG) of the local VSS is in overall Management and Maintenance of Ansupa Saranda Eco Tourism Site.

They rest in large globular nests of twigs and leaves with one door and each Giant Squirrel is seen building more than one nest for it. They rarely leave the tree except for chasing its mating pair orelse mostly seen living on its own- secretive and shy.

The Chermeria Nature Camp, Saluapalli Nature Camp and Bhanjanagar Nature Camp are the three destinations which offers its visitors an escape from the confines of the city life into the magnificent landscape of Blackbucks. Those Golden Deer’s in large herds hypnotize the spectators by their spectacular lyrical movement and limitless energy. The Bhetnoi-Balipadar – Tanarda – Ramanda landscape accommodates nearly 2500 Blackbucks, 40 to 50 Blackbucks in one herd can be seen foraging and springing. Situated in the outskirts of capital city of Bhubaneswar Chandaka Dampara wildlife sanctuary is an abode of Indian Elephants and many other fauna. The Chandaka Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary, lies between 20°-12′-30″ and 20°-26′-03” N Latitude and 85°49′ 13″ and 85°-34′-42″ E Longitude in the Cuttack & Khurda District of Odisha. The sanctuary was notified vide notification no 8F 16/82.35500/FFAH dated 21.12.1982. The total area extends over 193.39 Sq Km in two parts. Major area of 172.12 Sq Km lies in the Chandaka Dampara area and small area of 19.275 Sq Km in Bharatpur-Jagannath Prasad forests. The forests are dry deciduous with patches of Semi evergreen vegetation which has very good landscapes and sylvan surroundings.

Mandasaru Valley Nature Camp: The Mandasaru Ecotourism site was initially developed as day tourism centre under OFSDP. After the initial sucess as a day tourism centre , it was decided to develop night staying facilites at the site. Accordingly funds were provided by the district adminstration of kandhamal under IAP scheme. The project included construction of wooden cottage( Two rooms and dining ) , renovation of watch tower, provision of water , electricty, beautification etc.

The facility is managed by 19 women SHG members who are a part of Mandasaru ETG. The group has been managing day tourism centre since last 2 years . The group is now capable of managing the site by providing room services, catering services and also guide services.

Catering Facility Provided to Visitors: Catering is provided to the guest by the ETG women members . A separate menu has been prepared with rate chart which can be ordered by the guest. The catering facility is currently running to cater the day visitors. A separate kitchen is being operated successfully.

Other Facilites: BSNL phone network is available at the site. A sale centre run by the ETG is also present for the visitors.

Phulbani Nature Camp (Phulbani): The Eco Tourism site at Phulbani Nature Camp (Phulbani) has been developed through special package announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha for Kandhamal District during the year 2008. It was developed with the objectives of generation of employment to local communities besides promotion as centre of nature conservation.The Phulbani Nature Camp (Phulbani) is situated 4.0 KM away from Phulbani Town.

Belghar Nature Camp is situated at an altitude of 2555 feet above the sea in Kandhamal District. Belghar-Daringbadi is the land of “Hills and Waterfalls”. Belghar is 158 Kms away from district headquarter i.e. Phulbani. It is mainly inhabited by a particular tribe known as “Kutia Kandha”. The tribals believe in age old traditions of hut dwelling and food gathering. Though they are living in forests for years together yet they are hospitable and friendly. Belghar is surrounded by towering hillocks around. The thick forest is home to a number of rare endangered species of animals and plants.

The pride of the forest of Belghar is the long tusked Elephants that abound plenty in the region. Many other smaller mammal fauna like deer, wild boar, bear etc and varieties of birds viz: Hill Myna, Parrot, Peacocks and Flying Giant Squirrels are found which attracts the visitors. The natural vegetation of the forests are wooded trees which rises to a great height.Winter is enjoyable here which can be experience from November to end of March. Heavy mist and dew are also prevalent during the winter season. Average rainfall is 1382 mm. The perennial rivers and streams like “Pipili” and “Penaju Nala” are the water source of Belghar. Amongst the hillocks one large grass land on the top of hill at “DIMILI” is a must worth view point for the visitors
