Sarafgarh Nature Camp is surrounded by pristine dry deciduous forest with Sal mixed forest and the nearby Reserve Forests are excellent habitat for Leopard, Elephants, Wild Pig, Barking deer, Porcupine etc. The Nature Camp site is flanked by the Sarafgarh Reservoir which attracts thousands of waterfowl both of indigenous & migratory type. The eco-tourist can go for a trekking to Masabira Picnic area and can enjoy the beautiful landscape on the bank of Sarafgarh Reservoir.The circuit tourism includes Ushakothi caves which are famous for ancient rock paintings. Ushakothi is about 40 kms from Sarafgarh Eco- Village and Nature Camp site. The visitors can also go to Koili Ghughar, a famous pilgrim place with beautiful river, waterfall & Picnic area having sylvan backdrop. It is located on the boarder of Jharsuguda and Sundargarh district in Hemgir Range and is about 60 kms. from the Nature Camp site.
