First Day : Cochin Arrival
Welcome to God’s Own Country. Upon arrival at Cochin Airport/ Railway Station transfer to the hotel. Later proceed for a half day city sightseeing tour of Cochin visting Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jewish Synagogue, and Mattancherry Palace/Dutch Palace. Overnight stay at Cochin Hotel/Resort
Cochin, the commercial hub of Kerala and also known as the ‘Queen of Arabian Sea’. You will explore the port town of Cochin visiting the Chinese fishing nets, the St. Francis Church, Mattencherry Palace, and stroll through the narrow cobbled streets, lined with antique and handicraft shops of Jew town and completes the tour at the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest living Synagogue in the world. Kochi city is known for its textiles, readymade garments, jewellery, handicrafts, antiques and spices. So you can go for shopping rest of the free time. In the Evening, boat cruise to see the seven islands of Cochin and beautiful sun set.
Second Day : Cochin – Kumarakom (100 kms – 2.5 hrs)
After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Kumarakom. The major attraction is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary where a profusion of all kinds of birds can be observed such as Siberian storks, cuckoo, wild duck, egrets, darters, herons, teal and water fowl. Overnight stay at Kumarakom Hotel/Resort
Third Day: Kumarakom – Alleppey (50 kms – 01 hr)
After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Alleppey. Alleppey with a large network of inland canals earning it the sobriquet “Venice of the East”. These large networks of canals with spectacular Backwaters, Beaches, Marine products & Coir industry provide Alleppey its lifeline. Evening enjoy the sunset at Alleppey Beach. Overnight stay at Alleppey Hotel/Resort.
If Houseboat Stay: After breakfast proceed to Alleppey boat Jetty, board the traditionally decorated houseboats and begin the enchanting backwater cruise. The backwaters of Kerala is a unique product of Kerala and is found no where else in the world. A glide in a “Kettuvallam” (Houseboat) through the enchanting backwater is sure to rob your heart. Lunch, Dinner & Overnight stay at Alleppey Houseboat. A cruise along the palm-fringed waterways, lush paddy fields, coir villages, rustic homes, temples, churches, ancient Chinese fishing nets, water lilies and coconut groves of Kerala in a luxury houseboat will be a most enchanting holiday experience for you. Your crew will prepare delicious food on board. In the houseboat you can try gliding, exploring, fishing, bird watching or just lazing in the sun.
Fourth Day : Alleppey – Cochin Departure (100 kms. – 2.5 hrs.)
Morning checkout the houseboat (if stay at houseboat) and go for ayurvedic oil massage which is recommended for toning up the body and improves the blood circulation. Check in to the resort for relaxation. Then you will be taken for the sightseeing. Visit the local coir-manufacturing unit, Ambalappuza Sree Krishna temple- one of the oldest and famous traditional temple in Kerala and St Mary’s church which is believed to be one of the seven established by St Thomas. In the evening visit beautiful and clean Alappuza beach which will give you the pleasure and satisfaction of being in KeralaAfter breakfast pack your baggages with a promise to return once again to this Paradise. Check-out and proceed on time to board your flight/train with sweet memories.
