6N – 7D :: Paro – Thimpu – Punakha – Wangdue

First Day: Arrive Paro by Druk Air: Druk Air flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. Whether flying along the Himalayan range from Kathmandu or over the foothills, each flight is a mesmerizing feat and offers exciting descent into the Kingdom. On arrival at the airport, received by our representative and then transfer to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan.

Second Day: After breakfast Thimphu sightseeing. Visit Trashichhoedzong, the beautiful medieval fortress/monastery which houses most of the Government’s office and King’s Throne room It is also the summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. Then visit National Library which has vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts.

After that drive to Arts & Crafts School, famous for traditional thangkha paintings. Here you will see, students at work producing intricate design on cloth.

After lunch visit Handicrafts Emporium which displays wide assortment of beautifully handwoven and crafted products. Then drive to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in the memory of Bhutan’s Third King who is popularly regarded as Father of modern Bhutan. The paintings and statues inside this monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy.
Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Third Day: After breakfast drive to Punakha with a short stop at Dochula pass (3,080m) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If skies are clear, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m ), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m), Zongphugang (7, 060 m ), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana – finally Gangkar puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.

Later visit Punakha Dzong, built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative centre of the region, Punakha Dzong has played an important role in Bhutan’s history. Damaged by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the Dzong has now been fully restored.

After that drive to Wangduephodrang visiting Dzong and local market. The district of Wangduephodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate and stone carvings. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.

Fourth Day: Punakha/Wangdue to Gangtey / Phobjikha After breakfast drive to Gangtey / Phobjikha. In the mountains east of Wangduephodrang lies the beautiful Phobjikha valley, on the slopes of which is ituated the great monastery of Gangtey, established in the 17th century. The village of Phobjikha lies a few km, down from the monastery, on the valley floor. This quite, remote valley is the winter home of black necked cranes, which migrate from the arid plains
of Tibet in the north, to pass the winter months in a milder climate. Explore Gangtey village and Phobjikha valley over night stay in Punakha/wangdue.

A hearty meal of Bhutan’s distinctive cuisine: hot chilis, pungent cheese, and purple rice

Fifth Day: After breakfast drive to Paro en route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 1627, it now houses the School for religious studies.

Afternoon in Paro visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. Originally built as Watch Tower since 1967 it is serving as the National Museum of the country and holding fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings and Bhutan’s exquisite postage stamps.

Afterwards, walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong. Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal , the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan, the Dzong houses the monastic body of Paro, the office of the Dzongda (district administrative head) and Thrimpon (judge) of Paro district. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Sixth Day: After breakfast drive north of Paro valley to ruins of Drukgyel Dozng. From this fort Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. Nearby visit traditional Bhutanese Farm House which offers good insight into lifestyle of local people. Then take an day excursion to Chelela Pass. While return to Paro town visit en route Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Seventh day: After breakfast drive to the airport for flight to onward destination.

7N – 8D :: Bhutan Trip by road ex Phuentshoeling

First Day: Arrival Phuentshoeling. On arrival you will be received by our representatives. After lunch visit King Palace, Monastery & Crocodile Project. Night stay over at Hotel at Phuentshoeling.

Second Day: After Breakfast proceed to Thimpu (185 Km. approx 7 hours journey via Sarchu, Chukha & Chujung). Enter Bhutan experiencing breath-taking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan peaks during the journey. After breakfast, drive to Thimphu. The drive to Thimphu is through farm houses, paddy fields and apple orchards. Lunch enroute. Transfer to Hotel. Evening free. Night stay at Thimpu.

Third Day: Full day Thimpu Sightseeing. Visit the Simtokha Dzong. This is one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan located about 6 Kms. from Thimphu. Check in at the hotel. After lunch, visit the Memorial Chorten (a huge Stupa) built in memory of the third King of Bhutan who reigned the Kingdom from 1952-1972. Visit the National Library where a vast collection of ancient manuscripts are preserved. Visit the Painting and woodcraft school where children are taught the traditional art of woodcraft and painting. Visit Tashichho Dzong the main secretariat building. This massive structure houses part of the Government Ministries, the office of the King and the Throne Room and the office and the living quarters of the Monk Body and its Chief Abbot. Night stay over at Thimpu.

Fourth Day: After an early breakfast, drive to Punakha and Wangdiphodrang. On the way, halt at Dochula Pass (26kms). Dochula is marked by the Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chortens a unique cluster of 108 chortens and prayer flags. This spot offers a magnificent view of the endless ridges that roll into the distance towards the majestic snow-capped peaks of Gangker-phuentsum mountain ranges. It has become a favourite spot for picnics. Proceed to Punakha. Punakha was the former capital of Bhutan. The Punakha Dzong lies between two rivers known as Phochu and Mochu, which means ” Male River and Female River “. It is one of the most important Dzongs in Bhutan and now houses the district administration office of the Punakha district and the winter residence of the Monk Body and its Chief Abbot. It was built in 1637 A.D. Return to Lobyesa. Visit the Chhimi Lhakhang.This temple is dedicated to the divine madman, Lam Drukpa Kinley who is believed to bless barren women with children. Drive to Wangduephodrang. Wandiphodrang lies 13kms south of Punakha. The Wangdiphodrang Dzong and its small town is perched on a hill between two rivers. This Dzong also houses the District Administration office of the Wangdi district and the office and the living quarters of the district monk body. The Dzong was built in 1638 A.D. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Thimpu.

Fifth Day: After B/F start for Paro. The winding road follows the Thimpu River till Chhuzomsa (meaning confluence in Dzongkha) and for the rest of the journey is along ParoChu. It takes about 2 hours to cover the distance of 65 Kms. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Paro.

Sixth Day:After B/F drive up to Drugyal Dzong, which is about 15 Kms from town. This ruined fortress is of great historical importance. It was built to mark the Bhutanese victory over the hordes of invading Tibetans and Mongol army. Enroute to Drugyel Dzong, view the Taktsang Monastry from the road head. The name Taktsang means “Tiger’s Nest.” The monastery is perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 800m. and overlooks the Paro valley and the river. Legend says that in the second half of the 8th century, Guru Padma Sambhava known as the second Buddha in Bhutan, meditated at the spot where the monastery is situated having alighted there on the back of a flying tigress. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Paro.

Seventh Day: After breakfast, take a short drive to Chelela. One can get an excellent view of Haa valley and Mt. Jhomolhari . Lunch. Afternoon : visit the Ta-Dzong , a watchtower in the olden times, now converted to a museum. It is located on the top of a hill above the Paro Dzong overlooking Paro valley and the river. The museum has a fine collection of ancient Thankas (religious paintings on fabric), rare artifacts, pottery, weapons and objects of daily use. Then visit Rinchen Pong Dzong. Today, the Dzong is the administrative seat of the district of Paro and the residence of state monks. The central tower (“Utse”) of the Dzong is one of the most beautiful in Bhutan with its superb woodwork. The Dzong was built in 1645 A.D. Complete the downhill walk with a crossing of the traditional cantilever bridge spanning across the Paro Chhu ( meaning river in Dzongkha ). Your pick up vehicle will be awaiting for you at this spot. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Paro.

Eighth Day: After B/F start for Phuentshoeling (171 Km. approx. 6 hours drive). Night stay at Phuentshoeling.

Fifth Day :  After an early breakfast, drive to Bumthang via Trongsa   . The journey takes about 8 hours . The lateral highway goes through misty regions near Pelela pass where trees covered with Spanish moss, orchids, lichens and rhododendron are found. People are very likely to see Yaks along the lateral highway. On the way, stop at the beautiful Chendebji Chorten, whose style represents Nepalese style of Chorten. Lunch . Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Sixth Day :  After breakfast Visit the historical Jakar Dzong built by Minjur Tenpa, the third Druk Desi (Temporal ruler) in 1646 A.D. Visit several ancient and important monasteries such as, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Also visit the Member Tso ” The flaming Lake ” which is considered one of the most important pilgrimage spots. Actually a wide pool in the Tang Chhu ( Tang river ) is called the Mebartshho. Pema Lingpa, a person of great virtue found spiritual treasures ( Terma ) found one from this very spot when he jumped in the pool with a burning torch which still remained burning when he emerged out of the water holding a treasure. Hence the name. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Seventh Day :  After breakfast drive back to Wangdue.

Eighth Day :  Breakfast. Drive back to Paro . En-route, stop for lunch at Thimphu. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Ninth Day :  Airport transfer and departure assistance by our representative.

3N – 4D :: Panaji (Panjim)

First Day: Arrival at Panaji. Transfer to Hotel at Panaji / Calangute / Candolim. Evening free around Panjim Market. Evening free around. Dinner & Stay Overnight at Panaji / Calangute / Candolim.

Second Day: After Breakfast visit North Goa Sight Seeing. Back to Panaji in the evening. Dinner & Stay Over Night at Panaji / Calangute / Candolim.

CALANGUTE TO FORT AGUADA: A Tour start off with a visit to Fort Aguada Candolim. A Famous 17th Century fort now made even famous by the 5star Taj hotel complex. Fort Aguada in Goa is one of the most importanat Fort in Goa and most cruicial of all forts in Goa. Today its being used as a Goa jail. It was built by the Portuguese government in 1612 in order to protect Old Goa from enemy attacks. A spring within the aguada fort supplied water to all the ships that called there.

SALIGAO CHURCH: Unique in its architectural design and is being illuminated throughout the tourist season. One of the most beautiful churches in Goa. It is the Parish Church for the Saligao village only 4 kms from World famous beach Calangute. The Goa Tourism Department has made arrangements to illuminate the church at night. It looks like a shimmering jewel in the fields as you drive by on the Chogum road from Panjim to Calangute.

TEMPLES: Favoured by devoted Hindus where by lies the temple of lord Bodgeshwar. The Shri Bodgeshwar temple in Goa is situated near Mapusa at about 12 kms from Panaji. Lord bodgeshware is also known as Protector deity of Mapusa. People offer different presents to the lord bodgeshwar known as ‘agngavani’ which means vows are made and who fulfills desires of the devotees. Place is locally known as Bodgini.

MAPUSA CITY (BY PASS): Capital of Bardez and famous for its Friday bazaar, where people buy and sell everything from lime to livestock.

Mapusa is a favourite tourist destination among those who travel to Goa. Market is few kilometers from most popular beaches in north Goa.

VAGATOR BEACH: A beach famous for its seclusion with the Chapora Fort, as its imposing back drop. Vagator beach is undeniably one of the best beaches in the world.Vagator Beach is split into two main beaches by a seaside headland which holds the car park and lots of stalls selling trinkets, clothes, soft drinks and snacks. As you face the sea, on your right is North Vagator Beach (Big Vagator)and on your left Ozram Beach, more commonly known as Little Vagator Beach

ANJUNA BEACH (View point): Very popular among the foreigners and is a beautiful picnic spot also known for Trance parties and Hippies in 60’s and 70’s. Very famous for Night life and always crowded with Foriegn tourist. Today main attraction of Anjuna Beach is wednesdays market popularly know as “Flea Market”.

CALANGUTE BEACH: Trip rounds off with a visit to the calangute Beach Widely known as queen of Goa’s beaches, picnic and musical groups draw hundreds of people. plenty of Water Sports Activities can be seen in calangute. Calangute has number of Luxury and budget hotels. These beach draws thousand of people every year from all parts of the world.

Third Day: After Breakfast visit South Goa Sight Seeing. Back to Panaji in the evening. Dinner & Stay Over Night at Panaji / Calangute / Candolim.

South Goa sightseeing (8:30am to 4:00pm)

CALANGUTE TO MIRAMAR BEACH: A Short but sweet beach. Here lies the Samadhi of Goa’s first Chief minister Late Dayananda Bandodkar.It is on the way to Dona Paula and just 3 km Away from Panjim – Capital city of Goa. This Goa beach is popularly known as “Gasper Dias”.

DONA PAULA: From its high point can been seen River Zuari meeting to Arabian Sea. A secluded bay situated on the Arabian Sea, the Dona Paula Beach is one of the most sought after beaches in Goa.Water sport facilities are the key attraction of this place. once a silent village today is one of the most commercialized areas of Goa. Named after the daughter of one of the viceroy’s of India Dona Paula de Menzes, who jumped off the cliff because she was not permitted to marry a local fisherman, this beach is haunted by mysticism and divine beauty.

BOM JESUS OF BASILICA (Old Goa Churhes): Where lies the remains of St. Francis Xaviers body. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a World Heritage Monument as well as one of the finest baroque churches of Goa. The name of Jesus is symbolically represented by the letters ‘IHS’ and is found embellished throughout the Basilica

CATHEDRAL: One of the most ancient and celebrated religious buildings of Goa, this magnificent 16th century monument to the Roman Catholic rule in Goa under the Portuguese is the largest church in Asia. The largest of its kind in the East.

MANGUESHI TEMPLE: Dedicate to Lord Shiva, being build in the 17th Century.

SHANTADURGA TEMPLE: One of the richest temples dedicated to Shantadurga the goddess of peace, also famous for golden palanquin.

COLVA BEACH: Famous as the longest beach in Go, only rival to Calangute in popularity.

4N – 5D :: Miramar – Calangute

DAY 1: ARRIVE GOA & CHECK-IN AT MIRAMAR RESIDENCY

Pick up from Airport/railway station/bus stand. Check-in at Miramar Residency. Welcome with flowers, drink and cookies. Have an evening to yourselves, stroll on the beach, sunbathing or just laze around at the amazing Miramar Beach. Enjoy a 2 hour cruise full of entertainment and buffet dinner on boat Shantadurga/ Santa Monica (Wednesday & Saturdays).

DAY 2: TROPICAL SPICE PLANTATION TOUR

Breakfast at Residency. Proceed towards Tropical Spice plantation Tour.Depart hotel at 9.15 am by taxi to Tropical Spice plantation.Floral welcome at Tropical Spice Plantation and take a refreshing walk around the plantation, regaling you with information on various spices and their medicinal values by a trained guide. Check-out from the Residency & proceed for a South Goa Tour by taxi at 9.15 am.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Heritage monuments, churches at Old Goa which include the Basilica of Bom Jesus wherein the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier, lie on to the magnificent Se Cathedral, which houses the famous Golden Bell. Next, proceed to the temples of 18th century Lord Manguesh at Manguesh dedicated to Lord Shiva and 18th century Shree Shantadurga Temple at Kavlem dedicated to the Goddess of Peace. Visit Ancestral Goa, a themed village at Big Foot, Loutolim. Halt for lunch.

Visit Colva Beach is a white sand beach in the South Goa district and it is one of the longest in the world (24 km). After lunch see the spectacular view of Mormugao Harbour, one of the natural harbors in the country from Dona Paula Bay, informally also referred to as Lovers Paradise. Proceed to check-in at Calangute Residency, Calangute.

DAY 4 : EXPLORE CALANGUTE BEACH & VISIT TO TITO’S CLUB/CLUB MAMBOS, BAGA

Experience the glorious sunsets upon infinite skies, frothing crystal waves lapping up the pristine white sands of the Goa’s world famous Calangute Beach. After breakfast have a day to yourselves, strolling on the beach, sunbathing or just laze around and chill out on the beach, enjoy a splash in our swimming pool. You can also indulge in various water sports available on the beach like Para sailing, water skiing, banana boat ride etc and also beach shopping. Enjoy the peace and relaxation of massage and health treatments at the same time at our Ayurvedic Spa at the Residency on extra payment. Collect entry tickets of the most talked about Club Tito’s/Club Mambos, Baga (4km from Calangute Residency). DAY 1: ARRIVE GOA & CHECK-IN AT COLVA RESIDENCY

Day 01 : Arrival Ahmedabad – Sasan Gir (360 km. approx 7hrs.)
Arrival at Ahmedabad and transfer to Sasan Gir by car Check in to Hotel, After Lunch and followed by some rest after which we head for our first Jungle Safari. We return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Sasan Gir
The morning starts early as we pay our visits to the Gir forest for an early morning jungle safari. Breakfast will be served upon return from the safari. Post some leisure time we have lunch. Day 02:  This morning after breakfast you will be driven to Kufri Valley – located 16 kms from Shimla, it commands a panoramic view of the majestic Himalayas. Rest of the day is free to explore Shimla’s famous Mall Road.  Overnight in Shimla.
